The conference, with a focus on the practice of psychology in communities, will showcase some of the best research from students and early career researchers from across Wales alongside talks from practitioners working in the community.

The BPS Careers team will also be providing career information and representatives of the Psychology Divisions will be there to talk about their specialisms and provide career guidance within and beyond psychology.

Dr Paul Hutchings, Academic Director of Psychology and Counselling at UWTSD, said “It is fantastic to be able to welcome the psychology community back to our university, especially after the last few years of not being able to hold in-person events. We hope that everyone who attends is able to benefit from this exciting mix of academic and practitioner discussion, and also to be able to learn more about potential future careers.

“Psychology sits at the heart of our communities, whether this be the jobs that people do or the ways that they interact with others in society, and we hope that this conference will promote that even further.”
