To make sure you receive your student finance for 2021/22 you should apply as soon as possible.
The process is different depending on whether you are Welsh, Scottish, or English so make sure you follow the instructions carefully.
If you are a Welsh, Scottish or English student the quickest and easiest way to apply is online. Unfortunately, this process is not available for EU students and you will need to download a paper form and post the application.
Continuing your course with us
If you are an undergraduate student who is continuing their course, you will need to reapply for student finance. To do this, log into the platform using your customer reference number, and confirm your course and contact details.
Don’t delay! If you’re a full time undergraduate student, make sure you apply before the deadline to ensure your payments are on time for the next academic year.
If any of your circumstances have changed, you will need to let student finance know as this could affect your entitlement. but don’t worry if there are changes to the course the University will inform Student Finance.
Please note that if you are a continuing Postgraduate student you will not need to reapply, as it is an automatic process.
Starting a new course
If you are not a new UWTSD student, but are starting a new full-time undergraduate course with us e.g. have completed a Cert HE and are starting a BA (or equivalent) you will need to put in a NEW application for student finance.
Again the quickest way to do this is online as the online application system should save your previous details. If you are having any problems, you can request a paper form from the student finance provider.
Do you need help?
If you are experiencing problems with your application please contact your Student Finance Officer for Carmarthen, Birmingham, London and Cardiff, Lampeter or Swansea.
