We know that many of you are passionate about the sustainability of the University and its wider communities, and are excited to announce that as a UWTSD student you can now enrol onto the 2019 INSPIRE Sustainability module.
The module revolves around sustainable development and the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act, which seeks to improve the economic, social, environmental and cultural wellbeing of Wales by calling public bodies to action, striving towards seven wellbeing goals. This is the first of its kind in the world and puts future generations at the heart of Welsh Government decision-making.
Resulting in a certificate, the module comprises of eight 10 minute online sessions which guide you through each of the wellbeing goals. It provides you with plenty of flexibility, allowing you to set your own learning schedule and work through at your own pace alongside your studies.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anybody interested in working in the public sector in Wales – or in sustainability in general – to give themselves a competitive edge in the world of work. Show your future employer that you care, and give yourself something a little different to talk about at interview by enrolling onto ‘INSPIRE – Sustainable Development and the Wellbeing of Future Generations/Datblygiad Cynaliadwy a Llesiant Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol’ on Moodle.
